Customers, reviews and stock alerts
Customer records
Every order builds a customer record: contact details, order history and total spend. You can see who owes you money if you sell on account, with a simple ageing view (current, 31-60, 61-90, 90+ days) and print or email a proper statement for any date range.
Notes and tags
Open a customer and use Notes and tags to keep a private note (up to 2000 characters, such as "Prefers EFT, collects on Fridays") and tags separated by commas, such as "wholesale, VIP". Press Save note and tags. Only you and your team see them. The customer never does.
On the Customers list, tags show as chips. Click one to see only the customers with that tag, and click Show all to go back. Tags aren't case sensitive, and you can have up to 50 per customer. If you import customers from Shopify, their Note and Tags columns come across.
Worth knowing: a tag is only a label for you to filter by. It doesn't change what a customer pays or who gets your marketing emails.
Reorder
Customers get a one-tap reorder link on their fulfilment email and their order tracking page, so buying the same thing again takes one click, no need to rebuild the cart from scratch.
Reviews
Reviews come from the Product reviews app, which new shops start with. If it is missing from your menu, add it from Apps (see Apps). Customers can leave a star rating and review on any product page. New reviews sit pending until you approve them from Product reviews in the dashboard, so nothing appears on your shop without you seeing it first. You can also import existing reviews from Judge.me or another reviews app by CSV.
Customers can add a photo to their review. The photo waits with the review and only shows once you approve it. If you like the review but not the photo, press Remove photo and the review stays.
Stock alerts
If a product is sold out, customers can ask to be told when it's back. You don't see who's waiting until you want to (there's a count on the product), and the moment stock goes from zero back to available, everyone waiting gets one email automatically.
Messages
Your shop's contact form lands in Messages in the dashboard, so customer questions don't rely on you checking a mailbox nobody else knows about. Mark messages read or delete them once handled.
